Making dental care affordable
Our mission at Luna is to make dental care for dogs and cats better and more affordable, so fewer pets have to suffer the misery of bad teeth. Our unique dental-only model allows us to provide state-of-the-art veterinary dental care at surprisingly reasonable prices.

Lower overheads = affordable pricing
As well as allowing us to deliver the highest possible standard of veterinary dental care, being a dental-only practice also means we have lower overheads than most practices, and that's how we can look after your pet's teeth at such affordable prices.
And being an independent vet-owned practice rather than part of a big corporate group helps as well.

Dental obsessed vets = amazing dental care
In most traditional veterinary practices, dentistry can be an unloved sideline, with vets preferring to develop expertise in other areas of veterinary care.
Our vets and nurses are a different breed - they are dental obsessed and focus 100% of their attention and expertise on looking after pet's teeth and oral health.
This model, along with our great value Luna Dental Health Club that spreads the cost of your pet's routine dental care and protects you from unexpected vet dental bills, means that keeping your pet's smile sparkly and healthy has never been easier and more affordable.

Where possible, we carry out any extractions that your pet needs while they are having their Protect & Shine dental so they don't need to have a second anaesthetic. The cost is £70, £160 or £300 depending on complexity of the extractions and the time taken.

Surgical dentals
In the most complex cases where extensive dental work is required (or for animals who can't tolerate longer anaesthetics) a follow up or staged dental is sometimes required. The cost is based on the time required and complexity of the work, and is between £350 and £70o.

Blood tests
For older dogs and cats, or those with other health issues, we usually recommend a preoperative blood test to check that they are fit and well before their anaesthetic. This 10-point health check covers a range of parameters including liver and kidney function.
