The ultimate everyday dental health supplement from Luna the Dental Vets, Plaque Protect is vet-approved and designed to reduce plaque and tartar build up, freshen breath, and support healthy gums.
Made from 100% natural seaweed powder (Ascophyllum nodosum) which has been clinically proven to disrupt plaque formation, soften tartar, and improve overall oral health. It is suitable for dogs and cats and is added to their food once a day for long-term dental health protection.

How to join
After your pet has had their introductory Luna Dental Health Assessment, and any dental procedures recommended including an initial Protect & Shine dental, and any extractions or other dental surgery, we will welcome them into the club. Click here to register with Luna.
What's included?
As a member of the Luna Dental Health Club, your pet will get an annual Luna Protect & Shine dental, free refills of Luna Plaque Protect supplement for daily use, an introductory pack of dental health products (including toothbrush, toothpaste and dental hygiene chews), unlimited dental health consultations and advice, unlimited surgical dentistry, and 20% discounts on all Luna products (including toothpaste, chews, and food).
What's not included?
We provide an initial pack of dental care products including toothpaste and toothbrush, and dental care chews, so you can see what works best for your pet. Once you have decided on the best option for your pet’s at-home dental care, you can purchase these products from us with your 20% member discount. If your pet needs dental surgery such as extractions that can be carried out in our Luna clinics, this is fully covered by your pet’s membership pla.. If they require advanced second-opinion dentistry we will help you find a suitable dental specialist and facilitate the referral process, but the costs would not be covered by the membership plan. Pre-operative blood tests are not included before dental procedures but are offered at a 20% lower cost to members.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes, your membership is on a monthly or annual basis depending on your payment preference, and you can cancel at any point. Your pet’s cover will remain in place up to the end of the period you have paid for and then lapse.
Does my pet need a dental every year?
We recommend that all pets have a routine Protect & Shine dental once a year as this is the best way to manage their long-term dental health and allows us to prevent problems from developing that could become more serious and painful for your pet. However, for younger animals with very good dental health, or those with specific health issues that might cause increased anaesthetic risks, we can tailor their Protect & Shine schedule to suit their individual needs.
When can I book my pet's next Protect & Shine?
Your pet will be eligible for their next Protect & Shine dental after 12 months of membership.
